outcome measures for program goals

    GOAL ONE        The program will prepare competent graduates to demonstrate leadership, self direction, critical thinking, and strong communication skills in all areas of dietetics practice.

Outcome Measures:  

  • 100% of graduates will achieve a score of at least 4 on > 90% of competencies for all rotations

  • 100% of graduates will achieve a final score of > 4 on all assignments, based quality outcome assessment criteria

  • 100% of graduates will achieve a minimum average score of 4 on final Goal Achievement Evaluation Form

  • >80% of program graduates will pass the RD exam the first time 

  • 100% of interns will complete the program within 21 months of the start of the program

  • 90% of graduates will score themselves a 4 or 5 on the following measures on the 1-year graduate evaluation:  leadership, self-direction, critical thinking, communication skills

  • 90% of employers of graduates will score the graduate a 4 or 5 on the following measures on the 1-year employer evaluation:  leadership, self-direction, critical thinking, communication skills

  • >85% of program graduates seeking employment or continued education will find placement within 6 months of graduation.

 

    GOAL TWO        The program will provide a variety of experiences that meet each intern's individual needs, and foster a spirit of ongoing self-directed learning.

 Outcome Measures:  

  • >95% of postgraduate evaluations will reflect a score of 4 or 5 to the statement "The internship provided me with experiences that met my individual needs." 

  • >80% of interns will include a short term or long term goal to develop new skills as part of the professional development portfolio assignment

  • >90% of graduates of the program will have participated in at least one learning activity, as reported in the 1 year graduate evaluation form.

  • >90% of evaluations from graduate employers will reflect a score of 4 or 5 to the statement "graduate seeks new learning opportunities".

 

    GOAL THREE       The program will seek nontraditional students with culturally diverse backgrounds.

 Outcome Measures:  

  • >80% of interns admitted to the program will be nontraditional (as defined as at least one year of work or life experience before and/or after completion of undergraduate education)
  • >25% of interns admitted to the program will be culturally diverse (as defined by the ADA)
 

    GOAL FOUR       The Program will use technology to enhance communication and learning among interns and preceptors.

 Outcome Measures:  

  • >95% of postgraduate evaluations will reflect a score of 4 or 5 to the statement "Training regarding the technology and communication system was adequate" 

  • >95% of postgraduate evaluations will reflect a score of 4 or 5 to the statement "The technology utilized by the program (e-mail, website, chat room) enhanced my learning"

  • >95% of postgraduate evaluations will reflect a score of 4 or 5 to the statement "The technology utilized by the program (e-mail, website, chat room) enhanced my communication with other interns and internship staff"

  • >75% of preceptor evaluations will reflect a score of 4 or 5 for the statement "I have accessed and utilized the internship/preceptor website"

 
    GOAL FIVE       The program will prepare graduates to seek employment with Sodexo.

 Outcome Measures:  

  • A representative from human resources will speak to all interns during orientation and/or class week 100% of the time.

  • 100% interns will attend recruiting webinars conducted by the clinical recruiting team and will be given contact information for appropriate clinical recruiter

  • >60% of program graduates will seek employment in a Sodexo account  

  • >50% of program graduates will obtain employment with Sodexo
