outcome measures for program goals

    GOAL ONE       

    Achieve entry level competence in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, and foodservice management

 

    Outcome Measures:  

  • Achieve a score of at least 4 on > 90% of competencies

  • Initial score of > 3 on 85% for all assignments AND final score of > 4 on all assignments, based quality outcome assessment criteria

  • 100% of hours completed for all rotations  

  • A minimum average score of 8 on final Goal Achievement Evaluation Form  

  • A first time pass rate on the RD exam of > 80% 

  • Completion rate of > 90%

 

    GOAL TWO       

    Think critically and analytically to formulate appropriate solutions to complete problems

    Outcome Measures:  

  • Achieve a score of at least 4 on > 90% of competencies  

  • Initial score of > 3 on 85% for all pertinent assignments AND final score of > 4 on all pertinent assignments, based quality outcome assessment criteria .  Pertinent assignments include:

    • Clinical case studies

    • System analysis

    • Literature review

    • Nutrition wellness and marketing projects

    • Reflective journals

    • Chat group transcripts

  • A minimum average score of 8 on final Goal Achievement Evaluation Form
 

    GOAL THREE    

    Consider age, cultural, ethnic, economic and educational factors affecting patients, clients, and/or

    employees, with an awareness of individual needs and limitations.

    Outcome Measures:  

  • Achieve a score of at least 4 on > 90% of competencies  
  • Initial score of > 3 on 85% for all pertinent assignments AND final score of > 4 on all pertinent assignments, based quality outcome assessment criteria .  Pertinent assignments include:
     
    • Educational material
    • Health fair
    • Presentations
    • Reflective journals
    • Ethnic report
    • Menu
    • Media piece
    • Supermarket Detective
    • Nutrition wellness and marketing projects
    • Chat group transcripts
       
  • A minimum average score of 8 on final Goal Achievement Evaluation Form

   

 

    GOAL FOUR       

     Demonstrate initiative, self-direction, and leadership in meeting the challenges of a rapidly changing society

     Outcome Measures:  

  • Achieve a score of at least 4 on > 90% of competencies  

  • Initial score of > 3 on 85% for all pertinent assignments AND final score of > 4 on all pertinent assignments, based quality outcome assessment criteria . Pertinent assignments include:
     

    • Reflective journals

    • Chat transcripts

    • Nutrition wellness and marketing projects
       

  • Meets deadlines > 90% of the time

  • Complete > 20 hours of rotation time per week > 90% of the time, except for approved time off

  • A minimum average score of 8 on final Goal Achievement Evaluation Form

  

 

    GOAL FIVE       

     Engage in positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with patients, clients, staff, employees, and

     other members of the health care team

     Outcome Measures:  

  • Achieve a score of at least 4 on > 90% of competencies  

  • A score of > 3 on 85% of presentation evaluation forms

  • A minimum average score of 8 on final Goal Achievement Evaluation Form

   

 

    GOAL SIX       

    Anticipate challenges and communicate effectively using a variety of creative resources and formats

    Outcome Measures:  

  • Achieve a score of at least 4 on > 90% of competencies  

  • Initial score of > 3 on 85% for all pertinent assignments AND final score of > 4 on all pertinent assignments, based quality outcome assessment criteria .  Pertinent assignments include:
     

    • Educational material

    • Media piece

    • Presentations

    • Health fair

    • Article abstracts

    • Literature review

    • Nutrition wellness and marketing projects

    • Chat room transcripts
       

  • A minimum average score of 8 on final Goal Achievement Evaluation Form
